Market Risk Technology LOB Aligned Team

Within the Corporate Technology organization, the Market Risk technology LOB aligned team is responsible for the technology platform and integration with JP Morgan's risk systems to provide JP Morgan's risk managers with capability to assess impact of various market scenarios at a firm wide level. The team has a large book of work comprising of many strategic and tactical projects to enhance the system capabilities and continue with integration efforts with the firm's risk systems along with the reduction of offline manual processes. Within the Market Risk technology organization, the LOB aligned team is responsible for the following businesses, Credit Trading, Securitized Products, Credit Portfolio Group and all Non IB lines of businesses.

This is a unique opportunity to join the Market Risk Spreads and Non IB aligned team that is responsible for strategic and BAU development efforts.

As an Application Developer you will help drive strategy, design, develop, test, debug for the businesses we support.

Desired profile

The Market Risk Technology LOB Aligned Team is seeking candidates with deep architecture/development ability in Java/Python with computer science, engineering, math, physics, or information technology degree.

Specific required qualifications include:
·  Strong software and business systems design, analysis, and development skills
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Experience in developing and/or supporting 24x7 mission critical applications
·  3+ years of IT work experience (financial industry preferred but will consider a strong candidate from other industries)
·  Should be ready to participate in team development and support of various components of large-scale applications
·  Familiarity with distributed computing infrastructures
·  Strong demonstrated knowledge of Java and Python programming
The following qualifications are a big plus:
·  Familiarity with finance, risk management (VaR, Stress), derivatives, and/or other financial instruments
