The successful candidate will work with a small, collaborative engineering tools team that is passionate about the continuous development and deployment of commercial solutions in our rapidly expanding strategic technical center of excellence. The candidate will join a team responsible for delivering the firm-wide, strategic reporting analytics solution for data driven decision making.

Objectives

· Analyze, design, test and/or deliver quality software in a complex environment. Supports the application's BAU processes and activities.
· Development, planning, coordinating matters related to Report development using Qlikview Reports. Prior experience with Data Warehousing and BI solutions in the financial services domain is preferred.
· Gather and document functional and technical report requirements, and translate requirements into reporting solutions.
· Develop in-depth understanding of underlying data, data model and business domains to ensure reports meet client needs.
· Create technical documentation of report logic and processes.
· Help create new processes and procedures, and suggest improvements to current processes and procedures.

·  Relevant university degree specialized training or equivalent work experience.
·  Passion for application design and analysis.
·  “T-shaped”/Broad skilled software business analyst with deep skills certain areas such as reading code, but also skilled in other areas such as project management, testing and/or analysis.
·  Experience with Agile programming techniques such as test driven development, spec by example, Scrum and Kanban.
·  A background in at least one of the following :
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Object oriented software engineering
·  Experience in some of technologies would be useful, however not essential: Cloud based services, Streaming XML's, Oracle PLSQL.
·  Experience with various development methodologies/practices (waterfall, agile, etc)
·  Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
·  Excellent customer-focused interpersonal skills
·  Ability to take initiative, and work independently and take ownership until closure.
·  Ability to plan and manage project deliverables
·  Good personal management skills and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
·  Experience working in a distributed team environment
·  Experience working with third-party providers is a plus
