Application Business Analyst - Market Data Services

Market Data Services is the global cross-business team responsible for all aspects of market data delivery, providing economies of scale through the provision of end to end solutions. The team is accountable for vendor management, financial management, engineering, development, connectivity, risk and control, and production support.

The MDS Analyst Team are SMEs in the market data vendor landscape, providing advice to firm-wide LOBs on vendor/product selection to meet their evolving requirements and productivity goals. We are the first place BMs and CFOs come for Market Data financials, insight and questions they may have.  We are also the main interface/agent for the businesses we support and the vendor they use.  We keep the Business vendor relationship as pristine as possible, during contract disputes and negotiations, trainings, data issue, support issues, etc. We are the vendor relationship experts and our knowledge of these vendors and the services they provide, and the cross business function we serve, allows us to consolidate, negotiate and support the business in ways a decentralized team could never do.   

The Application Business Analyst will be responsible for working with Technology and Finance Teams across the firm to address their data content needs as it relates to applications that consume and distribute data both internally and externally to institutional and retail clients, making sure that applications are compliant with how they are licensed to use vendor content.  This will include:
•       Content recertification
•       Content compliance
•       Content licensing
•       Building a data usage compliance database

The successful candidate will have;       

·   Computer Science / Finance background
·  MS Office, with a particular strength in Excel and PowerPoint
·  Strong personal skills are critical in order to work with many different internal teams and external vendors
·  Knowledge of Market Data vendors and products
·  An understanding of product licensing
·  An understanding of product sourcing
·  Business Analysis experience
·  Knowledge of Market Data Services

All internal moves will normally take place on the same grade and same salary. Salaries are reviewed annually in February. Exceptions to the rule regarding transfer on current salary may include a move between geographic locations.
