Job description

It is critical the incumbent is cognizant of the changing payments landscape from an industry, regulatory as well as technology perspective, to ensure these are accounted for in our solutions. This technical insight will be leveraged to create a fungible local skillset, to support the region. Working alongside the development team to provide iterative analysis of detailed specifications and provide the link between the business and the development teams. Due to the specialist regional market knowledge and JP Morgan’s European Product offering this is a rare candidate driven opportunity.
The EMEA Payments, Clearing and Accounting Analyst will lead all technical analysis, specifications
and technical workflow required to support clearing critical business process and new capabilities with
reference to value-added services. The analysis stream fundamental in support of the ongoing
development of a Technical Operating Model in order to meet the objectives of the global payment
strategy.
The role requires the maintenance of strong regional relationship, to maintain extensive collaborations
with EMEA Product, Sales, Operations, Service, Risk/Compliance and Legal.
Additional responsibilities
· Business and technical analysis on a variety of projects relating to High Value, Low Value and Realtime
clearings and payment processing
· Delivery of detailed, high-quality, payments-related functional requirements and specifications
relating to one or more of the following:-
o Specific “vertical” functionality that supports an end-to-end payment flow
o End-to-end “horizontal” payment processing flows
o Interface specification and mapping
· Support Development and Test teams to ensure functional requirements are clearly understood
and technical design addresses both functional and business requirements
· Hiring and training local systems analysis trainees, developing on-topic training and tools
Relevant skills and experience intrinsic to role
· A minimum of 10 year’s experience in systems analysis experience within the Financial Services
Industry or consulting agents thereof. A minimum of 5 years working with Payments (SWIFT, SEPA,
CHAPS, BACS or Faster Payments).
· Working knowledge of SEPA regulatory, Target 2 and EBA market clearing change cycle and
process, specifically rulebook changes and EPC mandated commitments.
· High Value, Low Value or Real-time payments processing knowledge (e.g. SEPA, BACS, UK
FPS, SWIFT-based clearings)
· Ability to create and interpret mapping documents
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence business and technical partners.
· Unique to the role, knowledge of JP Morgan global payment processing systems and accounting
architecture. Unique to the role, knowledge of JP Morgan Payments Commercial Product offering
and key ongoing client customizations offered to our existing client names.

A minimum of 10 year’s experience in systems analysis experience within the Financial Services
