Summary

 

This role is within the Portfolio Analysis Group (PAG). The Portfolio Analysis Group is responsible for the provision of investment performance, attribution and risk analysis (ex post and ex ante) to both internal and external clients across EMEA. Expertise in Equity performance and attribution is an essential requirement of this role.

 

Analysis activities include rate of return calculations, return attribution, risk analytics, competitor analysis and composite construction.  This analysis is instrumental to help external clients understand drivers of return in their portfolios and help us internally measure the effectiveness of our products and strategies.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities but are not limited to:

 

· 
Independent verification of Equity Attribution reporting for client use

· 
Provision of value added analysis on attribution reporting for the front office

· 
Ensure reports are produced to deadlines driven by both internal and external clients

· 
Close working relationship with middle office and tech to ensure data quality and report suitability

· 
Oversight of offshore investment performance team ensuring seamless delivery of investment performance

· 
Liaison with client reporting and front office to determine and agree pipeline of deliverables/priorities

· 
Delivery of business requirements in an evidentially controlled environment ensuring adherence to corporate policies and the enhanced AM Ops controls standards

· 
Usage of workflow tool to evidence adherence to controls, maintenance of  standard operating procedures, logging of user tools in UWAT and management of errors in Beacon

· 
Production of MI and KPI for PAG Management and broader audience

· 
Liaison with other PAG sites globally to ensure best practices and consistency

· 
Knowledge sharing and support for team members across the group as applicable

· 
Manage own workload between BAU and projects ensuring delivery of the same 

Skills Required:

 

· 
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with keen attention to detail

· 
Proven ability to explain attribution results to clients/the front office is essential

· 
Sound knowledge of investment performance calculation including ex-post risk

· 
Previous working experience and knowledge of investment performance systems including Bloomberg, FactSet and B-One

· 
Proven ability to interact with multi-location investment performance team to ensure seamless delivery of investment performance

· 
Continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving change to improve processes.

· 
Experience of managing change/improvement projects within a PAG related context.

· 
Creative thinking to solve complex problems

· 
Good communication skills both written and oral

Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving deliverables
