As an Application Support Analyst you will support the CIB Banking USCIS application. The qualified and selected candidate is expected to help develop production support plans and manage day to day operation inquiries for the USCIS applications. The successful candidate will also be expected to support change related tasks, track defect milestones, handle difficult processing schedules, perform root cause analysis and measure production system performance, monitor system growth on an ongoing basis, evaluate progress and quality, manage issue resolution process and take corrective action as necessary. In this role you will support the Business Operations teams and will be primary point of contact for all technical issues, working with application developers, database administrators, system administrators, network engineers and other technical representatives within GTI to ensure system stability and availability.

• Develop automation scripts/tools to perform regular production tasks including creating SQL stored procedures

• Partner closely with AD/Vendor to understand the architecture and design and if needed submit Change Requests for system improvements

• Provide guidance and direction to other production support staff on day to day hands-on technical support of the applications.

• Document, plan and implement system or client setup changes using enterprise management systems and adhering to corporate policies.

• Proactively devise monitors and analyze system performance to ensure high availability.

• Proactively and expeditiously identify, diagnose and resolve system problems.

• Document, communicate and escalate technical issues and articulate business impact.

• Conduct independent root cause analysis of system problems in a timely and effective manner.

• Recommend and implement changes in systems / procedures to avoid recurrences of system failures.

• Recommend and implement system changes to reduce required manual intervention in monitoring and managing system performance.

• Provide 7x24 on-call support and share on-call responsibilities

• Provide support during occasional weekend migrations of infrastructure and / or application changes on an as-required basis.

• Participate in planning sessions regarding hardware, software and application changes. Participate in pre- and post- implementation reviews.

• Lead major components of migration or conversion efforts for customers.

• Ensure that infrastructure and application, as well as IT processes and procedures, meet strict security requirements and comply with IT Risk Management guidelines.

• Serve as a liaison to technology service providers when analyzing system performance, diagnosing issues and planning for future changes.

Desired profile

IT/Computer science college degree specialized training, or equivalent work experience.

• Practical and applied skills working with a Windows Operating system along with troubleshooting Windows based applications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of analyzing, producing and responding to detailed technical specifications.

• Ability to react quickly to new demands in an ever-changing dynamic business environment.

• Sound Analytical Skills.

• Ability to multi-task whilst ensuring other key deliverables continues to be met.

• Ability to analyze and explain the risks involved in using, or not using, technology solutions to solve business or organizational problems and not compromising on the architectural direction and vision.

• Ability to work well in a fast pace environment, be flexible and adaptable in a fast changing environment.

• Occasional travel and off-hour meetings and night/weekend support may be required.
