Summary
Responsible for the reporting and training activities in the Purchasing department.  A Materials Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the focal point in expertise, development, introduction, and training on specific current or new or functionality within the Materials department

Responsibilities

·  Involved in system or process upgrades related to the specific subject matter, and serves as an integral link for coordination and communication between several areas throughout the company (globally) on issues related to the subject matter.
·   Serves as the local expert and contact in regards to all matters concerning the specific subject matter.
·   Tracks and communicates all changes or enhancements to existing Materials department systems including upgrades to current systems.
·   Actively participates in development and or training in local or centralized groups including Operations Development specific to the subject matter.
·  Understands standardized departmental functions, processes, procedures, and systems.
·  Develops ERP specific training.
·  Develops tools, or escalates the need for tools that allow the Materials department to meet business needs.
·  Works with the necessary functional areas in detailing requirements for enhancements with respect to the specific subject matter.
·  Reviews specifications that have been submitted for change by the Materials department prior to system or process development.
·  Continuously evaluates subject matter systems and troubleshoots areas of concern.
·   Introduces and supports corporate provided/designed tools. Assists in testing and validation phases in regards to the subject matter.
·   Drives continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management. Establishes new measurement systems if or where appropriate.
·  Ensures the efficient and timely exchange of knowledge and information within the iQor Corporation.
·  Demonstrates a commitment to the customer service anticipates, meets, and exceeds expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively making customer issues a priority.
·  Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·  3 years of experience in materials management related field.
·  Experience in electronics manufacturing industry is a plus.
·   Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and ERP/MRP experience, including training and knowledge of iQor’s software packages.

Education Requirement
Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to stand and walk or otherwise traverse in order to be accessible to the production floor for extended periods of time. The person in this position will be required to regularly exert at least 10 lbs. of force to push, pull or otherwise move objects and may be required to carry or lift objects up to 50 lbs. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and/or documents; viewing a computer terminal; and/or visual inspection of products or machinery. The person in this position may need to occasionally sit, type, climb stairs, bend, reach, kneel, or twist for minimal periods of time. Employees should not attempt to lift, pull or push a load in excess of 50 lbs. without assistance. Care should always be taken when lifting, pushing or pulling in an awkward position.
