International Alert is one of the world’s leading peacebuilding organisations, with over 30 years of experience laying the foundations for peace. We are a global organisation with 17 overseas offices and more than 60% of our staff based overseas.

We have an exciting opening for a proactive and dynamic individual to work for 9 months in our Human Resources Department. This diverse role will involve assisting the team with recruitment, administering HR policies and procedures, development/maintenance of HR information systems and HR training support along with contributing to special projects.

You will be highly organised and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail combined with excellent written English skills. You are somebody who can take initiative and work autonomously when necessary, as well as enjoying working as part of a team. You will have proven experience of managing projects, strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. A working knowledge of French is desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has completed a Human Resources undergraduate/postgraduate (or equivalent) qualification and is looking to secure valuable work experience in an international context.

Previous applicants need not reapply.

As it is unlikely that we will be able to obtain a Work Permit for this role, all job applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.

Interviews will take place on the 28th September 2017.

While International Alert will endeavour to contact all candidates within a reasonable time, this may not always be possible due to limited resources. Therefore, if you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date, you can assume that your application has, on this occasion, been unsuccessful. International Alert is an equal opportunities employer. All applicants will be judged strictly on the basis of merit.

Make every future a success.
