Job Descr:In this role candidate shall act as Senior Engineer/Technical lead to analyze and debug issues with the latest Modem software based on ARM Cortex/Intel and IA Architecture SoCs for Intel's mobile wireless handset platform. Primary responsibilities include independently analyze traces/coredump for defects reported internally or by customer to find the root cause. Post analysis, be able to articulate the problem to the customer or development teams located across the globe. Participate and lead/drive platform/Silicon issues to enable bring up camps and several KPI tracks like Stress rack, Power, Performance, memory optimization along with architects and component experts. Candidate shall be proficient in using debug tools like lauterbach, oscilloscope, logic analyzer. Proficiency in review/modify system embedded/modem software code to overcome critical blocking issues, provide recommendation on implementation to component owners. Define and drive system integration test failure debug to achieve stable software mainline, monitor platform health and take action on failing system quality gates. Document state-of-the-art debugging methodology and best practices, educate and train peer system engineers and domain/components Improve debugging technologies and tools in close collaboration with system and tools architects for current and next platforms. Propose and implement efficiency mechanisms to automate analysis, eliminate repetitive manual tasks in debugging, influence platform debug machinery for future generation of intel modem platforms. Regularly conduct trainings on system debug methods, tools usage with development teams and peer team members, actively mentor and coach junior members in the team

Qualifications

Qualifications: BE or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, minimum 5 to 8 years embedded SW development experience with additional 3-5 years system debug experienceSkills/Knowledge: High preference for candidates with in depth knowledge and experience in 2G/3G/4G protocol stack, FWs and RF experience.Required Skills: Strong system debug experience with embedded software, low level driver development C/C++ ,experience with proficiency in one or more scripting languages like perl/python, Experience with SCM tools like git, , good understanding of system integration process, Experience with real time operating system like threadx, linux an ability to understand the bigger picture and connect to dots to drive resolution of system level issues to drive larger team forward. Handson experience in using debugging tools like Lauterbach, trace32, power trace etc
