This Smart NIC Software Platform Application EngineerPAE is primarily a Sr. Networking Software Engineer with in depth Ethernet Switch/Controller product development experience. This product PAE will act as product owner and provide deep dive technical support to GEO PAE to support customers in Smart NIC product development with backend engineering support from division. Significant contribution also result when the PAE acts as a product evangelist, program/project manager, and prepares collateral material as needed to capture methods and demonstrate their results. Key Duties and responsibilities: the Intel Smart NIC product line SW PAE, focusing on VirtIO, OVS offloading, RDMA, QoS, involving in feature development and customization, validation, and key customers enabling. Provide deep dive technical support to GEO PAE for customers in Smart NIC product development, from Linux kernel, Driver, API/SDK, to Protocol/Stack, from architecture/design review to function validation and production.

Qualifications:- Expert level development experience in OVS offload, VirtIO, RDMA, QoS related Switch/LAN driver/SDK, L2/L3 stack in switch/router, Storage, Ethernet, network communications, Server mother board etc. - Development experience on IA platform and also ARM based platform.- Diagnose and triage functionality and/or performance issues. Identify and isolate problems in application, network stack, low level API , or drivers. - Experience in multiple Network technologies primarily Ethernet or XYZ over Ethernet, project implementation, network maintenance, support, trouble resolution, and root cause analysis.- Support experience to CSP/IPDC, Telecom, OEM, Enterprise system designers/developers during design-in product life cycle.- Experience in development and documentation activities for customer applications and internal API's. - Knowledgeable in Datacenter and Cloud infrastructures and operations, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Networking, and Storage as NVME, low latency as in HPC/FSI.- Hands on experience with lab equipment as TestCenter/IXIA, high speed scope, etc.Experience with following is needed: - Development experience in OVS offload, VirtIO, RDMA, QoS, Stoage etc.- Routing and switching, Ethernet, Telecom, virtualization, storage, compute and design - Highly knowledgeable in Multicast, QoS, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS IP, GRE, NVGRE, VXLAN, RBridge/Trill,TCP/UDP - Experience with Virtualization Tunneling, multi-tenancy, isolation, and firewalls feature development - Experience in ARM based SW development besides IA based development.- Experience in Ethernet Switch/Controller board development.- Experience with 3rd Party Routers e.g. Cisco, Huawei, H3C - 5 years of experience in Internet/WAN/MAN/LAN Network product engineering - 3 years of experience in design, development, and implementation and maintenance of Enterprise level Network solutions - 3 years of experience in Router, Switch and IP configuration/management - Fluent and effective communication, presentation and documentation skills, both written and verbal in English - Self-motivated, multi-task efficient, ability to work independently and also in teams- Able to travel
