C#.Net Software Engineer, Aylesbury, UK

The Production Operations Engineering Group produce systems that compile test and release daily content updates to millions of customers around the world.

This function is crucial to the protection and safety of Intel Security's customers. These systems are used on a daily basis by the Operations team to ship content to our customers. We maintain, adapt and develop systems that validate the functionality, performance, compatibility and effectiveness of McAfee systems and the teams role is vital in maintaining.

The main language we use in this role is C# with SQL Server, although a great part of this role is the flexibility to work with other technologies. In addition to the C# we also develop in Java with Groovy, Jenkins, Tomcat, Puppet and JavaScript. Perfect for a developer who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and in a range of technology and tools.

This role:

·  Designs, develops, debugs and tests complex software in any field e.g., systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UI's, web.
·  Provides second line support to in house customers on software within the group.
·  Liaises with QA and Operations staff to develop high quality software applications meeting the requirements of internal and external customers.
·  Usually holds an academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computational Science.

The successful candidate will have:

·  C#.NET
·  JavaScript
·  Degree level in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Experience in any of the following skills would be advantageous:

·  Microsoft SQL Server,REST, SOAP, XML, XSD, JSON, Windows Forms, WCF, BootStrap, JQuery, AJAX, Linux operating systems, Puppet, SVN, VMWare, Virtualization, Agile methodologies, Jenkins.
