Creates bottoms-up elements of chip design including but not limited to FET, cell, and block-level custom layouts, FUB-level floor plans, abstract view generation, RC extraction and schematic-to-layout verification and debug using phases of physical design development including parasitic extraction, static timing, wire load models, clock generation, customer polygon editing, auto-place and route algorithms, floor planning, full-chip assembly, packaging, and verification.

Troubleshoots a wide variety up to and including difficult design issues and applied proactive intervention. Schedules, staffs, executes and verify complex chips development and execution of project methodologies and/or flow developments. Requires expansive knowledge and practical application of methodologies and physical design.

In this role, you will be a part of Intel's CPU Team in Penang. You will drive physical implementation for a range of memory compilers and analog IPs in support of Intel Atom CPU products. The work is performed with broadly defined parameters, and assignments are often complex and nonstandard in nature.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

-Independently assess and drive complex physical design assignments

-Work closely with circuit design engineers to interpret schematics and drive physical implementation.

-Build and verify all levels of physical design hierarchy leaf cell, IP block, FUB using GeneSys/IC Compiler, ICV/Hercules

-Collaborate closely with other SoC projects at various sites across

Qualifications

You must meeting either one of the criteria possess to be initially considered for this position:
-MS in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering OR
-BS in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering 2+ years of experience in VLSI AND
-Strong fundamentals in the following areas:
1) Very Large Scale Integration VLSI.- Well versed in UNIX*, programming skills in C/C++ or
2) Perl/TCL and relevant Computer Aided Design
