Job description
Treasury is looking to hire a junior liquidity management trader to join the department in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have an academic degree in business economics (or similar). As a junior Liquidity management trader you will be involved in:
• Squaring of all external ING held nostro accounts by the end of each business day and monitoring the payment capacity on all currencies in which ING is active;
• Maintenance of daily regulatory reserve balances and management of collateral with Central Banks for payment and liquidity contingency purposes;
• Projecting future cash positions on cash & collateral basis
• Execution of margin call payments/receipts for bilateral and centrally cleared transactions
• Optimizing financial results via arbitrage opportunities between various liquidity positions
• Advising internal departments for the execution of (large) payment orders
• Monitoring the market liquidity, volatility and price movements in the various market segments
• Manage and understand the bank's liquidity and financing needs in short and long term markets
• Deliver input and remain up to date with all changes, projects and day to day activities that are run within ING and BT
• Be aware of the local and international regulatory framework (CRR/CRD IV, LCR, NSFR, Dodd-Frank, MREL/TLAC, etc.) and apply strong analytical skills to foresee the impact consequences in the BT operations.
• Optimizing Collateral positions from a balance sheet perspective and financial result perspective
Your work environment
Bank Treasury's overarching objective is to facilitate business development for our commercial businesses - in lending and deposit taking - and for our Financial Markets trading operations.
Bank Treasury:
• Advises the Bank Management Board on balance sheet development
• Is the execution arm of the Bank Management Board for all balance sheet related matters
• Is the first responsible for meeting liquidity and funding risk appetite
• Executes its tasks in the most cost efficient way, taking into account both risk and reward
• Is sufficiently independent from the commercial business both on a local business unit basis as from a consolidated point of view
Requirements
• Academic or HBO degree in business economics (or similar)
• Basic knowledge of Professional Bank Treasury/Financial markets cash and liquidity management knowledge. -
• Understanding of fixed income markets.
• Understanding of derivatives/collateral management/repos and intra-day liquidity management
• Knowledge of risk management (trading, credit, market risk)
