About you
You have a proven record as a problem solver and decision maker who excels in a fast-paced retail environment.Along with highly developed communication skills, you have experience in actively selling a product range through understanding your customers and their needs.You are committed to leading and developing people and are able to build key relationships to achieve successful outcomes for the customer, the co-worker and the business. You are able to fulfil physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and the movement of stock using of pallet jacks. You are available to work a variety of hours including weekends and late nights.

IKEA Home Furnishing Business Managers have one of the most dynamic and rewarding positions in an IKEA store. Your challenge will be to optimise sales and profitability in your business area by leading and inspiring your team, and combining your knowledge of the IKEA product range with your knowledge of the local market and the needs of customers.

About the assignment

·  Optimise sales and profitability by taking ownership of the range, actively promoting IKEA's commercial priorities and volume commitments.
·  Act quickly on commercial opportunities and customer feedback, as well as keeping an active eye on competition, supply and performance analysis.
·  Create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with your team and other colleagues.
·  Lead and develop your co-workers, engaging them fully in the IKEA objectives and store goals.
·  Ensure your co-workers are available, trained and inspired to provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
·  Ensure your area is in excellent shape and fully stocked at all times so that customers can make a buying decision on their own.
·  Ensure the store is a safe and secure environment for visitors and co-workers.
·  Actively promote an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
