We are looking to welcome an new Visual Merchandising & Activities Manager to lead our Visual merchandising team in Lakeside.
You are passionate about inspiring and surprising our visitors by presenting and communicating the IKEA home furnishing offer with strong visual impressions that exceed visitors’ expectations.
Start Date: October 2023
WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive Salary starting at £31,200 per annum based on experience and competence
• Permanent contract working 39 hours a week
• Shifts 7am - 15:30pm. Monday to Friday
• This role will require availability to work occasional nightshift and early morning shifts may be required to support our range changes throughout the year.

PURPOSE OF ROLE
To lead, develop and inspire a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity co-workers in creating exciting range presentation solutions that provide an inspiring and convenient shopping experience. To secure vitality and inspiration within the customer shopping journey, by contributing to positioning the IKEA Brand in the local market as the home furnishing specialist, ensuring that the IKEA store is up-to-date and innovative destination that always offers something new for our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• You are able to inspire, motivate and engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability
• Continually seeking new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same
• Challenging your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and at the same time exceed the expectations of customers
• Proven success in managing and leading creative processes and coaching people.
• Proven customer-focused mindset.
• Experience of working in a fast retail environment
• Significant experience of working in a retail design or visual merchandising
• Passionate about home furnishing, design and how people live at home.
Experience managing creative projects, overseeing creative direction, timelines, budgets and production.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to work cross functionally to explain concepts and visual interpretation
• Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. AutoCad, Adobe creative suites).
