Your day to day

Reporting to the Reception Manager, Hayman Village, the Guest Service Agent within Hayman Village plays a key role that combines an engaging and compelling career offer with a contemporary and attractive residential experience.  In this role, you will be the brand ambassador for the Resort Colleagues, deliver true hospitality to our colleagues across all touch points. From checking in new colleagues on arrival to the island and handing transactions related to colleague activities to provide information about the area and assisting, this role encompasses all the things you would expect in a standard receptionist or guest service role.

Your day to day will include;

·  Managing room allocations for new and departing colleagues
·  Assisting with colleague enquiries relating to their accommodation and the Hayman Village
·  Receiving and distributing colleagues mail
·  Supporting with the orientation and logistics for new and departing colleagues
·  Working closely with the Hayman Village Housekeeping team to ensure accommodation is ready and standards maintained

But this unique environment will also provide you with the opportunity to be involved in organising colleague activities and coordinating daily housekeeping service around colleague areas in addition to working across the Hayman Village in Housekeeping and Food & Beverage as required.

What we need from you

Ideally you will have at least one year of previous experience as a receptionist or guest service agent within a resort or hotel environment. Excellent communication skills, seeing problems as opportunities and having a can do and professional attitude will also be a part of your service style.

You will be used to working in a fast paced environment and comfortable working in a setting where you live with and work for your guests. Previous exposure to working with Opera will be highly regarded and you must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open Australian driver’s license and responsible service of alcohol certificate and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required; commencing from late September to early October.
