Based at our site in Gorton, Manchester we manufacture frozen products for Iceland stores, this is a great opportunity for a HR & Resourcing Assistant to join our HR team at an exciting time of growth within Iceland’s food manufacturing site.

We’ve had to adapt to new ways of working to ensure we are protecting our teams in the current climate, but we’re busier than ever, growing our product range and want to ensure all our support functions across site are ready to proactively contribute to the site’s growth.

 

Role Details

Role: HR & Resourcing Assistant  

Salary: Up to £23,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Core working hours between Monday to Friday, typically, 9:00am – 5:00pm (can be discussed further at interview)

Contract: Fixed term – 12 months  

 

Job Description

Led by our HR Business Partner, you will work alongside a small, fast-paced HR team supporting all departments across IML, responsibilities will include:

·  Managing our end-to-end recruitment process using various methods of recruitment; internal, external and liaising with agencies
·  You’ll quickly build good working relationships with recruiting managers to support their recruitment, identifying their needs and recommending recruitment solutions
·  Co-ordinating all recruitment activities such as drafting adverts, screening applications, conducting interviews, providing feedback and making offers to successful candidates
·  Using our HR and recruitment systems to keep all information up to date and accurate
·  Completing right to work checks and new starter documents
·  Planning inductions and creating onboarding plans alongside our Learning and Development Business Partner
·  Supporting general HR administrative duties to support the HR team including but not limited to; probationary reviews, holidays, payroll and leavers
·  You’ll also have the opportunity to play a key role in an onsite recruitment project to drive the best candidate experience whilst embedding an inclusive and well-defined recruitment process.

 

Skills & Experience

Essential:

·  Previous experience in a recruitment or customer facing role
·  Demonstrable administration experience
·  IT skills – Microsoft office

Desirable:

·  CIPD qualification
·  Food manufacturing background
·  IT skills – HR and/or recruitment systems

 

You’ll efficiently organise and prioritise your own time and workload whilst effectively managing other’s expectations. You’ll be a people person with a proactive and enthusiastic approach, and a desire to build and maintain excellent working relationships with others. If you have a keen interest in HR and recruitment and are eager to learn, you’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in wider HR activities.
