The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.
The zCloud Mainframe Solutions Architect has primary responsibility of creating the hardware solution / configuration for all new contract opportunities in preparation for pricing and proposals. Additionally, the Architect will provide oversight for IBM mainframe hardware and software products/solutions to meet/exceed key business measurements. The Solutions Architect must have a strong understanding of IBM's z/Mainframe and ISV product portfolio in addition to having expert consultative knowledge on a wide array of Mainframe technologies, excellent communication skills, client interfacing skills, flexibility, track record for quick learning in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities include:
·  Experience in client solutioning and automation on complex engagements
·  Review and make recommendations on proposed technical solutions
·  Generate system design and architecture documents
·  Knowledge of Cloud concepts and model
·  Ability to obtain Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance level
·  Hands-on technical architecture experience
·  Federal government experience
