Watson for Genomics is a ‘Software as a Service', which provides peer-reviewed, molecular evidence to help oncologists to create personalized treatment strategies for their patients based on results from genetic testing of tumor tissue. Watson for Genomics analyzes and categorizes genetic alterations that are related to cancer progression and provides a list of potential therapeutic options that target each alteration.
You will be part of the Analytical team of Watson for Genomics and responsible for curation of genetic alterations, their association with drugs, and possible resistance mechanisms. This position combines demonstrated clinical experience as well as the ability to translate procedures used by clients (e.g. cancer institutions) to requirements and tasks to be implemented in the Watson Genomics system. As part of our team and a domain expert, you will also have a role in training the cognitive process, interpreting the domain, and validating output.
Candidates must have demonstrated capacity to adapt to demanding and high-pressure projects and adaptability to client's needs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 8+ years working in the field of cancer biology and genomics demonstrated by high quality publications in peer-reviewed journals of cancer research
· A background in hematological malignancies is preferable
· 8+ years of experience in searching the literature to identify relevant publications as they relate to genomic alterations
· Practical experience in how genomic data is applied to clinical usage in cancer treatments
· PhD level cancer biology
