As a UX Researcher, you will call on your experience with various research techniques, using a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods to design and conduct studies that explore the behaviors, motivations and needs of our users around the world. Your work will result in highly articulate insights that inspire change at all stages of the product development lifecycle. And you'll do this working closely with one of the best product and design organizations in the world.

At TWC we use science, data and user-driven insights to guide our work, but we also believe in a healthy dose of inspired storytelling as we strive to transform the landscape of weather products.

Your day-to-day is never the same: Fast paced, often fun and never boring.

What you'll do:

· Work closely and effectively with a broad range of roles to identify research opportunities
· Define and articulate research objectives and develop research plans that clearly deliver on objectives. This includes:
o Developing screener criteria for identifying target users
o Overseeing the participant recruiting process
o Developing moderator guides
o Consulting on the development of prototypes for testing
o Moderating remote and in-person user experience research studies or conducting interviews in field
o Designing survey questionnaires and related sampling instruments
· Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes
· Recommend research methods including but not limited to usability testing, guerrilla testing, field research, diary studies, surveys, A/B tests, etc
· Lead design studios and ideation sessions
· Analyze data to generate tactical and strategic insights and recommendations designed to drive improvement and innovation
· Partner with Customer Care teams to ensure insights consider the full spectrum of customer inputs
· Cultivate a highly informed and empathetic organization by evangelizing insights both orally and in written form

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

· Experience working in a fast paced, agile environment
· BS/BA, Master's or PhD in HCI, Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology or related field
· 2-3 years proven experience defining research objectives, proposals and plans, and conducting studies using a wide array of research methods. Understanding what method to deploy when is a must!
· Deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches
· Past practice in creating artifacts such as journey maps, story maps, mental models, and personas
· Experience with A/B testing tools and methods
· Knowledge of data analysis models and tools
· Candidate must possess excellent communication skills- be clear and compelling, be able to tell a story with data, and be comfortable speaking in front of large groups
