As the candidate helps to grow and unifies our catalog of cloud offerings, the impact of their design work will be felt across the entire IBM Company. The candidate's designs will be used across the world by hundreds of thousands to build, deploy, and manage Cloud Infrastructure for use by millions.

Responsibilities:
·  Contribute to design efforts as needed to ensure that ideas are realized to their fullest potential through the effective use of user centered design and information principles.
·  Participate in cross-functional teams that include creative leads, other designers, project management, product management, software developers, and QA.
·  Participate in product and feature ideation and conceptual development for web and mobile solutions, also taking into account responsive design considerations.
·  Produce user requirements specifications, conceptual models, personas, storyboards/scenarios, flow charts, conceptual sketches, wireframes, IAs, design prototypes, and visual design artifacts.
·  Design and specify user interfaces using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
·  Create digital assets that effectively communicate product function and intent, user interaction, and screen hierarchy.
·  Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design rationale both verbally and visually to stakeholders and team members.
·  Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  2+ years proven experience designing data-intensive software applications for a global audience.
·  Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment that requires independent self-direction with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
·  Must have an online portfolio or be able to provide examples showing a mix of UX/UI design experience
·  Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or Sketch

·  Bachelor's of Arts in any of the following: HCI, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design, and/or related fields.
·  Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud, SoftLayer) is preferred
·  Strong knowledge of Agile UX processes and methodology, particularly as applied to desktop & mobile products.
·  Proactive work ethic and takes ownership for producing positive results
·  Contributes as a valued team member and colleague with leaders at all levels
·  Demonstrates personal self-awareness and desire for continual learning and personal development
·  Presentation skills and professionalism to project a professional image, both internally and externally
