User Experience / Interaction Designer
Recognised as the global leader in its field, IBM i2's software solutions are used by more than 2000 law enforcement, national security, military and major commercial organizations in 130 countries across the world.
The IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis Offering provides a comprehensive intelligence analysis solution to Intelligence Analysts and Investigators in Desktop and Web applications, generating actionable intelligence to combat criminal and terrorist activity.
Joining a group of designers (with a mixture of research, UX and Visual Design skills), each embedded in a multidisciplinary development team, the chosen candidate will produce great experiences for Analysts and Investigators focusing on visualization, discovery and sharing capabilities.
Main responsibilities:
- Building User Empathy / Researching User Problems and Needs (interviewing Users, SMEs, Offering Managers).
- Understanding and Evaluating 'as is' experiences and identifying pain points (heuristic / user testing techniques).
- Ideating and Prototyping.
- Comparing and Evaluating 'to be' experience options.
- Specifying highly usable anatomies and workflows.
- Presenting concepts to stakeholders within Engineering and beyond.
- Evaluating Production UI.
- Championing design principles and methods.
You will be collaborating with Offering Management, QA and Development to see designs from inception to working code. Development works to agile principles, so applying design principles and methods within this environment will be required.
