Your Role and Responsibilities:
System Administrators are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients. As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of and access to our most important resource: data.

As a Linux administrator you will provide support to a global Linux infrastructure. On this role you will manage and maintain system and production environment for a client in a project implementation manner for timely delivery of required tasks.
Your day to day activities will include:
· reboot or shutdown server for maintenance
· user management (add, modify, remove, or unblock users, password reset)
· server decommissions
· storage capacity management – logical volume layer only (extend, shrink, create), cleanup (temp, logs)
· performance management – process (kill, stop), service (start, stop, restart)
· security – violations remediation (simple types only)
· mail queue management – dispatching, notifications (to specialist or on call)
· ticket management – dispatching, notifications (to specialist or on call)
· change management – dispatching, notifications (to specialist or on call)
· communication with 2nd level mainly during out of office hours

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Requirements :
· Understanding of OS Linux/UNIX
· 1+ years of Linux/UNIX server administration experience in large corporate environment
· Skills in problem determination, analysis and resolution
