The Business Development Rep is a trained IBM Sales resource with expertise in customer engagement and probing, to understand needs and interest to create a qualified lead. Often, the first point of Contact with clients.
Business Development Representative (BDR) is primarily focused on outbound targeted calls. The BDR focuses on existing, whitespace and competitive territories leveraging digital tools to create proactive call list, targeted sales plays provided by the brand to send call to action emails followed by multiple touch via email and phone. The BDR will identify new opportunities leveraging brand and solution sales skills and solution knowledge, demos and other collateral. BDRs will also develop accounts based territory plans to identify key decisions makers and initiatives in targeted accounts, nurture these accounts for high value Storage solution opportunities and/or competitive takeout.
The BDR will utilize questioning techniques to establish Budget, Authority, Need, & Timing (BANT) and Compelling Reason to Act (CRA) and will pass the lead to IBM authorized Business Partner /Value Added Distributor.
BDR Role & Responsibilities:
An Opportunity Identification (OI) role that is a digitally enabled and sales driven that is solely focused on outbound prospecting. Outbound call out to new clients leveraging on Storage Sales Plays. The BDR develops customer inquiries into new opportunities by providing value-added consultancy to clients.
Collaborate with Business Partners and Brand Sellers, to ensure progression of OI opportunities warm passed with BANT/CRA.
Built Storage and solution sales skills and relevant cross-technology solutions knowledge, leveraging demos and other collaterals.
Skills /Experience required:
· Two to three years of IT sales or IT tele sales experience
· Experience with Digital tools and social tools like LinkedIN/Sales Navigator
· Strong prospecting skills
· Experience interacting with all levels from IT/Business to the C-Suite
· Understanding of IT Infrastructure i.e. Servers and Storage is preferred.
