Job description

Staff Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Houston, TX: Update required changes in enterprise flash drive (EFD) functionality. Design and develop test plans for flash memory. Design and implement automation test suites for critical functionalities of flash memory, including hardware compression and journaling. Design and implement automation test suites for data encryption and robust error correction to maintain data integrity and safety. Generate custom input/output (I/O) workloads for system data testing. Use Agile software development methodology for planning and improving. Track and report EFD issues and fixes. Merge implemented code into code repository. Utilize Python, C, Git, Agile, Jira, Red Hat Linux 6, and unit and system testing. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and one (1) year of experience as an Engineer, Graduate Assistant, Developer, or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Python, C, Git, Agile, Jira, Red Hat Linux 6, and unit and system testing.Full time. G331.
