Job description
Solution Architect (SA) is assigned to Blackbelt/Bluebelt Partners (BB Partners) solely for the development of partner technical skills, lead solution discussion with the clients and responsible to grow the BB partners' business on the IBM offerings.
He or She is expected to SA design solution recommendations for BB partners' clients applying their technical skills, industry knowledge and business acumen expertise. These recommendations leverage IBM technologies, architectures, integrated solutions and offerings to solve the client's business challenges and deliver value.
SA is required to be on the leading edge of technology and is responsible for leading the way as it relates to emerging technologies and growth initiatives. This role provides technical sales leadership for BB Partners accounts. SA will also be the BB Partner development manager to drive the business result from 1-2 select business partners, playing a vital role in driving IBM's premier partner program through the assigned partners to hypergrowth with focus on IBM Hybris Cloud Integration and Analytics offerings in the growth segment (which is outside of Key and Enterprise accounts).
Job Responsibilities
· Provide technical leadership on solution design and IBM's technology roadmaps
· Position IBM value through architecture discussions and workshops
· Understand how IBM's offerings compare, contrast, and integrate with the customer's existing and proposed software investment from IBM, business partners, and the competition
· Set the technical strategy for sales opportunities and development of implementation plans
· Lead requirements gathering and analysis
· Use technical and business acumen to build and maintain relationships with key customer decision-makers, and actively seek new projects/opportunities to promote software sales and adoption
· Design Cloud, Analytics, Automation, Cognitive and Security solutions using IBM Capabilities
· Serve as a key member of the BB sales team which involves weekly reviews, joint account planning, joint sales calls.
· Take the lead in recommending sales initiatives and demand generation activities to the Partners to build substantial pipeline.
· Work closely with Partner sales team in identifying and developing the opportunities and pitching the IBM value proposition to the customers' business stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience in designing solutions for clients applying broad technical skills, industry knowledge and business acumen expertise
· Experience in either government, distribution or manufacturing is preferred.
· Experience with Enterprise, Cloud or Cognitive Technical Software Sales Project Management experience and/or certification
· Demonstrated leadership skills - effective listener and communicator; ability to train, mentor, and coach individuals at various stages of development
· Ability to understand business problems and provide guidance to the team on strategies which will produce winning solutions
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels across the organization
· Apply an understanding of industry needs, trends, KPIs, financial measurements, key industry players and competitors to deliver solutions that address client needs
· Ability to work in complex, matrix managed organizational environment
