IBM's Messaging products are vital to the world's IT infrastructure and the IBM MQ product is hugely successful in most industry sectors.

We are looking to recruit highly skilled software engineers who want to work with messaging technologies across multiple operating systems including IBM's z/OS. We are looking for software engineers with demonstrated experience of the C and / or Java language, as well as the ability to write & maintain software written at the operating system level. A talent for problem solving is essential. The roles will involve being a member of a global team which investigates complex problems reported in the IBM MQ product, eventually designing and implementing fixes.

Candidates must be self-motivated, flexible, diligent and have effective verbal & written skills to communicate complex ideas & concepts to others. The ability to pick up new skills readily is vital and a history of working well across team boundaries is also expected.

We believe that individuals with in-depth knowledge of IBM's critical messaging products are vital to the running of the world's computing infrastructures, and they are essential skills for modern professional software development engineers. Required

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
Proven programming experience in one of the following technologies
·  Jave /JEE
·  z/OS Operating System Level Programming
·  C with Unix Operating System Level Programming
·  Diagnosis of complex multi-threaded application.

·  Messaging

·  Pub/Sub
·  Unix Performance analysis
·  Windows C programming at the operating system level
·  JMS
·  MQTT
·  AMQP
·  z/OS dump, trace and SMF analysis
·  z/OS performance analysis
