The mission of Cloud Platform organization is to provide a consistent set of services and a best-in-class user experience in support of robust cloud applications as well as service development, whether running in a public cloud, private cloud or in a hybrid environment with connectivity between the two.

As an IBM Software Developer in Cloud, you'll use the latest tools and technologies available to deliver software solutions as part of a growing organization aligned with IBM's expanding Bluemix Cloud platform business. IBM Bluemix is a cloud platform as a service (PaaS) developed by IBM. It supports several programming languages and services as well as integrated DevOps to build, run, deploy and manage applications on the cloud.

Cloud Platform Developers in this driven environment participate in all aspects of the software development process.

You should be passionate about technology, a team player, and self-driven.

Openings are for full-time candidates. Position requires the candidate to be in commuting distance to the San Jose CA area.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Demonstrated communication, analytical, and programming skills in one or more areas mentioned below:
·  Programming Languages – C, C++, Java, PHP, Node.js, Angular, Python, GO, Ruby.
·  Middleware – SOAP, REST, Exposure to SQL is desirable
·  Networking – Experience with networking protocols (layer 3-7), Services such as Load Balancer, VPN, Firewall, DHCP, DNS, Protocols such as MPLS, BGP, Network Virtualization, SDN Controllers, OpenFlow, Linux Bridge, OpenVSwitch, DPDK etc.
·  DevOps – Jenkins, Travis CI, experience working on deploying/maintaining services in the cloud, monitoring, handling escalations, operating in live cloud environment.
