Following the 2019 Red Hat acquisition, IBM is accelerating in the world of Cloud Solutions, working with our clients to establish leading, innovative IT solutions within the open, hybrid multi-cloud world.

As a Digital Technical Rep for Red Hat, you will support Digital Sellers by providing technical expertise & acting as the subject matter expert on the Red Hat portfolio, including how Red Hat solutions complement IBM offerings. You will provide technical insights on solutions, resolve technical inquiries, and support the team to identify opportunities to increase revenue for Red Hat.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a new strategic initiative within the Digital Sales organization to help drive synergy between IBM and Red Hat. You will work in an agile team, rapidly assuming direct responsibility for identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
·  Through continuous personal development, you will become a subject matter expert and act as an influencer and trusted advisor on the Red Hat portfolio
·  You will bring technical knowledge on Red Hat offerings, solutions, and benefits to your teammates, IBM clients and to Business Partners
·  You will lead solutions training and provide enablement for Digital Sales Reps, as well as share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your experience
·  Commitment on continuous focus on skill development by keeping up to date knowledge both on IBM portfolio and Red Hat portfolio "news" and the competitive arena
·  Understand current technology and industry trends; and connect trends to customer value and Red Hat solutions and offerings
·  Collaborate with and support both Marketing and Sales to build proactive sales plays that help uncover new sales leads for Red Hat
·  Find new ways to approach and target IBM clients with Red Hat solutions
·  Provide active support during campaigns and initiatives where in depth technical details, both via phone call and online conferencing, are required
·  You will own resolution of technical inhibitors and questions of Red Hat portfolio
·  You will need to build your network of contacts both within IBM and Red Hat, making yourself the go to person for your specific field
·  You will need to take personal interest in everything you do, being prepared to take on challenges, solve problems and work with your team to get things done.
·  You must have demonstrated communication skills and be able to present complex concepts, designs and solutions, verbally and visibly.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
·  Demonstrated technical experience in middleware and cloud solutions; knowledge of Red Hat or other open source equivalents
·  Proven track record of 2-3 years in IT sales.
·  Good Linux and Kubernetes knowledge
·  Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt your messaging and content to various types and levels of both technical and non-technical audience
·  High level of energy, initiative and commitment is required to enable you to work in a fast moving and challenging environment
·  Provide evidence of your professional development through courses, certification forums etc.
·  English: Fluent Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
·  3 years IT sales experience preferred
·  2+ years of experience working at account level in a technical presales or support role focused on DevOps, cloud computing, and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) technologies; experience using Red Hat OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Docker EE or similar technologies is a plus
