Job description

This position resides in Fredericton, NB and is a 4-8-month work term commencing January 2021 . It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

The Position

As a QA/Automation Specialist, you are part of a highly focused, self-managed Agile team who designs, develops, and tests core framework functionality for QRadar. You will design and develop automation suites that will validate that our products function properly for large enterprise distributed systems.

As a member of a dynamic team in supporting the delivery of enterprise software for a large user base, you demonstrate leadership, technical curiosity, a self-starter, creativity as well as forward thinking with a passion for growth and innovation.

Daily Duties
·  Collaborate with product owners and developers to ensure that features meet the user's requirements
·  Test with the end user in mind and raise any usability issues
·  Write and maintain automated tests
·  Create defect reports and track them through completion
·  Perform regular regression testing to ensure new features have not adversely affected older functionality
·  Follow new and emerging technologies

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Co-op or internship program enrollment is mandatory
·  Experience with Linux operating systems
·  Experience with two or more of the following: C++, Perl, Java/Java script, SQL, XML
