IBM Global Business Services helps top-tier clients solve their most complex business and technical issues. As a Project Delivery Manager, Transition and Transformation, you will deliver innovative business consulting, management of systems integration, and will work in close collaboration with the Transition Competency Lead.

As a member of the Delivery Excellence Team you will apply IBM Methodology to lead transition projects that are typically 3 months in duration. You will be responsible for managing sub-projects within a complex program to insure the successful delivery of various phases of the transition and transformation plan. This position requires strong project management experience with specialization in transition.

Key responsibilities include:
·  Establishing new delivery models, including onshore/offshore resources from the client and IBM;
·  Transferring business and technical knowledge to new team members for the services to be rendered;
·  Establishing/updating processes to deliver the services to be rendered;
·  Establishing metrics to measure required service levels;
·  Achieve steady state of operations. Additional responsibilities include:
·  Working with the client to confirm business requirements;
·  Responsible for organizing and leading a cross-functional team in development of integrated business processes, implementing project deliverables, with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency
·  Responsible for providing direction and control of project personnel and for providing a framework for project planning, communications, reporting, procedural and contractual activity;
·  Developing work plans, managing deadlines and coordination of project team and sub-team activities;
·  Estimating project skill requirements, working with deployment to identify appropriate resources and managing their integration into the team;
·  Defining and agreeing on deliverables and milestones;
·  Setting and controlling scope;
·  Communicating status and vision to client management and stakeholders;
·  Overall team management, including regular evaluations;
·  Budget management;
·  Risk management.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Application Transition Management;
·  Demonstrated work experience with on-site off-shore models, with off-shore teams;
·  Specific knowledge of the PMI Process; Initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing;
·  Working knowledge of current Project Management and Transition Project Management methodologies;
·  Deep understanding of Application Management processes, business matters, finance, planning, forecasting and resources in order to manage team staff and business issues.
·  Complex project management experience;
·  Demonstrated client management and relationship management skills;
·  Ability to work closely with Process Owners and other key stakeholders to communicate progress;
·  Must be strong in use of MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio;
·  Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and a high level of interpersonal skills;
·  English: Fluent.

Candidate must have the ability to work in Canada without a current or future need for visa sponsorship. Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse project based on travel.
