Job description

The Weather Company, an IBM Business is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join their Global Technical Operations team. The Global Operations team The Global Operations team is responsible for providing world-class support to all TWC divisions across the U.S. and International locations. Our team is also responsible for maintaining service levels for our key weather systems and data platform products, as well as our digital content systems such asweather.com and wunderground.com. In additional, our team establishes best practices and standards for operational efficiencies, promotes a culture of DevOps engineering, and champions the overall Customer Experience for all TWC products and services. As the Technical Project Manager, you will work with our IBM and TWC teams, as well as other Stakeholders and Business Owners to evaluate, plan, and deliver projects and initiatives on time and within scope.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

● 3+ years experience in a technology environment, including 2-3 years of experience in Project Management.
● Demonstrated experience managing technology driven projects with hands-on experience, knowledge and understanding of underlying architecture, infrastructure, components, dependencies, etc.
● Must have a thorough understanding of Project Management concepts and techniques, using a variety of methodologies.
● Must have excellent Communication and Team Interaction skills.
● Ability to self manage, be proactive, take initiative, and set expectations with internal teams and external clients.
● Ability to manage time and deliverables amongst several ongoing projects; ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
● Ability to work with cross-functional teams and other Business / Technology groups within an organization.
● Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment.
