The Security Department at IBM's Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY has openings for a Postdoctoral Researcher.

The mission of the Security Department is to conduct fundamental and applied research in Security, Privacy and Cryptography. We focus on building new and innovative security technologies in research areas such as Cryptography, Cybersecurity Analytics, Machine Learning for Security (e.g. Deep Learning), Malware Analysis, Natural Language Processing (NLP) for Threat Intelligence, Graph Analytics for Security, Blockchain Security and Applications, Mobile and IoT Security, Information Security, Cloud Computing and Virtualization Security, SDN Security, Next Generation Security Architectures, Trusted Computing and Ethical Hacking. We value research skills, innovation, strong systems intuition, systems building experience and a strong desire to implement one's own ideas.

Candidates should have effective communication skills in both technical and customer situations. Also, candidates should be able to define new research directions, drive a project from exploratory thinking to the development of a practical solution or service, and have impact across our company or the entire industry.

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, and with a proven record of innovation and publication are preferred.
