Network Engineering Security Service Palo Alto Architect

Job description

The IBM network, best on industry standard practices, is segmented into various zones containing the organization's assets and intellectual property. The zones are protected by Network Boundary Control services (generically referred to as "firewall") from infiltration by hackers, virulent attacking malware, and exfiltration of the organization's intellectual property (652).

This Network Security Service Architect will work with a team to create Network Boundary Control solutions based on Palo Alto Firewall which are

1) based on next generation firewall technology
2) required to respond to regulatory requirements
3) required to respond to new threats to IBM assets
4) required to meet automation requirements
5) required to achieve operational efficiencies
6) required to achieve availability targets
7) required to have fully automated provisioning, deployment and operations
8) required to be effectively and efficiently lifecycle managed

The Palo Alto Firewall Architect will create design artifacts and documents which describe the solution and allow re-use of the learnings obtained in the course of creating the services.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  5+ years of network or IT security experience with deep and broad knowledge of security concepts, practices, security controls, policy.
·  Experience in network architecture principles and practices, network skills and knowledge, network equipment and its configuration with specific knowledge of Firewall, IPS and other network security controls.
·  Experience in creating new network services for enterprise deployments with the scale to a large Enterprise's size, are automated in their configuration and operation, and can be efficiently lifecycle managed.

·  Certification in Networking
·  Certification in IT Security, i.e., CISSP
·  Experience with IT Service Management practices in an enterprise environment
·  Experience working in an Agile environment
·  Strong communication and presentation skills for the explanation of technical and business concepts.
·  Demonstrated ability to create solution architectures for complex problems involving multiple engineering constraints, multiple components and integration methods.
·  Extensive knowledge and practical application of security principles and practices within networks.
