Job description

Currently we are looking for Mainframe z/OS System Programmer. You'll be playing a key role in the installation, testing and maintenance of mainframe operating system and install software. The programs you create are likely to help the mainframe teams (system team, storage team, scheduling team, etc...) to be more efficient and provide a better service.
Work can be done remotely from any place in Poland.

Main responsibilities:
·  Installation and configuration of z/OS and software products, providing maintenance for z/OS of regular basis
·  Presenting ideas for system improvement and automation
·  Setting up and cloning z/OS LPARs
·  Working closely with other mainframe system engineers, analysts, operations and staff
·  Producing detailed specifications and writing scripts (REXX, JCL, etc.)
·  Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
·  Preparation of training manuals and documentation
·  Maintaining the systems and programs once they are up and running
·  Providing technical support for customer
·  Providing On-call support

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  At least 3-5 years of experience in Mainframe (z/OS)
·  Experience in support and deployment of z/OS Operating System
·  Fully understand z/OS services structure, JES2 concept, Parallel Sysplex and Catalog management
·  Experience with WLM, SMF, EREP and IPCS
·  Storage management experience using DFSMS
·  Assembler, JCL, REXX and CLIST knowledge
·  Practical SMP/E knowledge
·  Basic RACF knowledge
·  Candidate should be self-organized, eager to learn with strong sense of analysis & troubleshooting skills
·  This is a technical role which also requires strong analytical and problem solving skills
