Job description
The CIO Network Deploy Leader will lead deployment for the North America IBM internal network. In this role, the leader will have expertise in leading squads to deliver IT network services and products to meet the needs of a business of IBM.
The scope of this job role includes preparation for new or changed services, management of the change process, and maintenance of regulatory, legal, and professional standards, management of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance, and management of in-house services and outsourced services. Typical examples of the deliverables are service-level reporting, risk, and contingency planning. The employee guides functional objectives or technologies.
As we transform towards an engineering organization, any technical hands-on engineering expertise; and/or experience in leading an engineering organization is highly desirable.
Preferred location: Austin.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
· At least 8 years of experience in leading and systems integration in a top tier professional services firm
· At least 5 years of experience working on projects related to Networking, Infrastructure
· 3 - 5 years' experience with knowledge of network delivery, management and monitoring.
· 3 - 5 years' experience with network software maintenance and upgrades
· Experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions
· Demonstrate capability managing simultaneous projects, crisis situations, and successfully meeting deadlines.
· Readiness to travel 10-30%
· An understanding of contemporary and legacy security Network technologies
· Basic understanding of compliance issues (eg. ISO 27001, SSAE 16, COBIT) Core Management Skills:
· Experience working across business units to develop new workflows and processes to enhance operations
· Experience with configuration management of resources
· Experience with Agile development cycles
· Strong desire to see projects succeed by providing alternative solutions non-conventional thought processes
· Ability to communicate effectively with team members to ensure successful implementation of solutions that meet and ideally exceed user requirements
· Ability to lead and shape client expectations
· Ability to work easily with diverse and dynamic teams
· Ability to work in a matrix management model
