Job description

A Senior Consulting Engineer is responsible for defining architectures, configuring soft-ware, and implementing solutions for customers deploying OpenPages software and asso-ciated applications. Senior Consulting Engineers typically spend 80% of their time con-figuring and implementing applications for clients and 20% of their time assisting with the development of proposals, supporting business development activities, and actively participating in the OpenPages Professional Services community via knowledge sharing, best practice documentation and training.
This position will require that you are responsible for the technical deliverables on a project as well as helping the Project manager's with managing the customer and project.

Mandatory Skills and Experience
• At least 5 years of software development experience implementing packaged applications, preferably financial applications software.
• A minimum of 3 years experience with programming XML, Java using OO concepts, in a commercial environment.
• At least 1 year of medium-sized project management and technical leadership experience.
• Familiarity in working within, and defining, a structured project delivery methodology.
• Ability to facilitate and perform business and application requirements gathering sessions.
• In-depth understanding of Web Applications, Oracle database, DB2 and J2EE Application Server technology, including JSPs, Servlets, IBM WebSphere/BEA WebLogic.
• Excellent interpersonal communications and technical writing skills.
• Strong customer-centric attitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity in working within a structured project delivery methodology.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline.
• Adhere to best practices, coding standards etc
• Identify and document test cases, test planSound working knowledge of Object Oriented design and development using core Java (preferably JDK 1.6 +).
•Strong working knowledge in creating UI components on server side (using JSP, Servlet, Struts, Spring MVC or any other open source java framework).
• Good working experience in java script tools such as Dojo or JQuery.
