Job description

I/T Service Desk Analyst who will support a Research client environment. Analyst will intercept, document, troubleshoot, resolve and communicate issues via walk in and ticket system. Responsible for configuring and maintaining LINUX, MAC and Windows operating systems, troubleshooting, configuring applications and network components along with implementing patches and updates to improve reliability and performance. Application Integration & middleware support skills a must. Should be familiar with mobile device support including phones and tablets.

Knowledge sharing and management is key to IBM's success. Individuals will participate in, and/or be responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection, and reuse of IBM's intellectual capital. They will participate actively in knowledge sharing activities with peers from the World Wide Research labs and like communities within IBM.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  At least 2 years experience in a technical environment.
·  At least 6 months experience in customer service with the ability to work in a high volume environment.
·  At least 6 months experience in PC usage and typical end user problems.
·  Bachelor in Computer Science degree preferred
