Internship/Praktikum: Master Data Management Web-UI Development

Job description

The IBM Master Data Management Development Team is looking for talented, experienced and enthusiastic software engineering students to join the team.

Master data management (MDM) provides a comprehensive, trusted view of entities like persons, products and contracts across the enterprise with analytical graph-based exploration, agile self-service access, governance and user friendly dashboard capabilities. Extending the existing MDM capabilities to cover new regulations e.g. the EU's GDPR is a current focus of the development team.

Students joining the team will experience working in an agile development environment designing, implementing and testing a leading edge product. Are you passionate about modern Web UI development? Do you know HTML5 and CSS3? Have you worked with environments based on Node.js and NPM? Do you maybe even have some experience in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular 2? The actual development tasks will depend on your skills and interests and can range from Web UI design to code development or functional testing and end to end test automation.

The team works within a worldwide development team. Strong communication and teaming skills are mandatory.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Computer Science or related area
- Good development skills with HTML, CSS and JavaScript/ECMAScript

- Development experience with JavaScript frameworks like React and/or Angular JS 2
- Knowledge of development environments based on Node.js, NPM and GIT
- Knowledge of UI test frameworks such as JEST, Enzyme or Selenium
- Knowledge of agile software design and development
- Knowledge of IBM products like DB2, WebSphere Application Server
