Job description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in our Budapest office.
In this role you will maintain and continuously develop the Lab's infrastructure which serves millions of viewers and broadcasters all over the world.

What you will be doing
·  Designing, developing, and maintaining the IBM Budapest Lab infrastructure working with the development teams
·  Evaluating open source projects, applications, solutions adopting them into the current infrastructure
·  System maintenance work, provide escalated infrastructure support, on-call duty
·  Design, build, and implement solutions through DevOps methodologies
·  Introducing, maintaining monitoring tools
·  Develop and deploy infrastructure changes via configuration management
·  Taking part in major system development related projects like data infrastructure, monitoring, automated scaling solutions, integrations

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Aware of the some of these: apache, nginx, varnish, haproxy, rabbitmq
·  Working experience with configuration management systems (eg. Chef, Ansible)
·  Understanding and using continuous Integration (CI) systems (eg. Jenkins, Travis)
·  Being familiar with some of the following technologies: NoSQL, MySQL, Consul, Terraform
·  Experience with Docker and container orchestration solutions (eg. Kubernetes)
·  Experience in monitoring systems (eg. Prometheus, Zabbix, Nagios)
·  Network knowledge and experience (eg. TCP/IP, Netfilter/Iptables, Calico, Weave, Open vSwitch)
·  Being able to troubleshoot problems using tools like strace/ptrace/ngrep/tcpdump/lsof/iostat
·  Being familiar with virtualization technology (eg. Xen, KVM, Ganeti, Openstack)
·  Experience with CDN providers (eg. Akamai, Fastly)
·  Aware of Cloud based services and solutions (eg. IBM Cloud, AWS)
