Job description
IBM Systems has openings for development engineering co-ops / interns to support our hardware and semiconductor products. We develop industry-leading hardware for IBM Systems, storage, and related products. Development engineers participate in various aspects of the development and test process, such as: circuit or logic design, verification, synthesis, physical design and layout, simulation, performance modeling, chip integration, design methodology, power optimization, and architecture. Candidates working towards degrees in fields related to computer hardware technology (for example, electrical engineering and/or computer engineering) will be considered. Candidates should have demonstrated programming (e.g. C, VHDL, Verilog), design, test, and communication skills. Team-based experience in Digital Signal Processor (DSP), circuit/logic design, power systems, verification, analysis or testing is a plus. Candidates with at least 6 months of team-based working experience are preferred.Positions available in Poughkeepsie (Greater New York Area). Positions may be also available for different seasons and durations (e.g. Spring/ Summer / Fall/ Summer only).
