Hardware Developer Internship - San Jose, CA

Job description

Location: Work location is IBM Almaden Research Center, 650 Harry Road, San Jose, CA 95120

Responsibilities may include:
·  Performing measurements with optical microscope, surface profiler and other instruments
·  Designing fixtures for measurements and experiments
·  Collecting data from experiments
·  Mining and analyzing data
·  Modeling results
·  Learning basic tape drive operation
·  Learning basics of magnetic head design
Attributes:
·  Intellectual curiosity in general and especially towards technology
·  Willingness to acquire new skills, both laboratory work and for analyzing data
·  Good presentation skills are also desired
