IBM is redefining itself as a design led company. We're evolving quickly, and you'll have the opportunity to influence that evolution. As a front end developer on IBM Bluemix you'll be at the heart of implementing that design led approach in the product.

Work closely with product managers, designers and engineers in Austin, TX and beyond, as a vital part of IBM's cloud offering.

Responsibilities

·  Implement scalable, production ready features and experiences for IBM Bluemix
·  Work in an Agile environment, developing software for rapid delivery
·  Promote best practices for implementing high quality user experiences on the web, including driving development of a test-focused environment
·  Develop and evolve platform architecture, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
·  Be a technical leader, including defining requirements and mentoring junior team members

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Proven experience developing high quality web applications.
·  Demonstrably excellent skills in HTML, CSS (Sass) and Javascript
·  Proven ability to leverage APIs effectively
·  Current Javascript frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, Angular, etc)
·  Common build technologies (e.g. Grunt, Gulp)
·  General knowledge of Node, including basic installation, package management, server configuration
·  Understanding and familiarity with best practices for web usability, interaction design and implementation
·  Know how to use source control tools, especially Git
