Job description
The CIO organization within IBM is currently seeking a Developer with Test Automation skills who has strong motivation and experience working in a delivery environment that supports sales-critical application in the Distributed Software Commerce (DSWC) Development and Delivery team in Research Triangle Park, NC.
As a Developer / Test Automation lead, you will work to build and enhance our delivery model to allow for continuous deployment and availability. You will be part of the team that provides cloud-based deployment environments while participating on projects associated with infrastructure management, system administration, system monitoring, making improvements to development environments, application load testing, and continuously improving our automation efforts.
This position will serve as an integral part of the chan
ge currently underway to drive more system automation and state-of-the-art engineering automation tooling, focused on moving applications towards continuous delivery and building a next generation automation deployment model in IBM Cloud environments. The broader mission will be to deliver a model which will serve as a showcase of IBM's transformation and management of complex web and mobile applications hosted in the cloud.
The team plays a significant role in supporting critical processes and function within DSWC that support its ability to communicate pricing in support of ordering processes, configure provisioning of ordered products, provide critical account and order information to IBM's Customers, among other key capabilities. In this fast paced and expanding organization, we foster an environment of continuous innovation and working in Agile teams. We are co-located in RTP, NC but maintain a responsible consideration of health and safety practices - which includes ongoing support for an in-office/remote office balance during these unusual times.
This is an important technical role that will require participation in an evolving culture, designed to deliver automation solutions continually, in a fast-paced engineering support environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· BS degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience
· 3 plus years relevant work experience, including development and test automation experience
· Proficient test automation, process automation, systems integration, DevOps maintenance, build infrastructures
· Commitment to delivering great software and releasing it quickly, efficiently and with increasing quality
· Be a strong advocate of users and their experiences with our products
