Job description
Title: Developer Advocacy Execution Intern - 1 year program
This is an exciting role with the responsibility to be part of a young team of IBM Developer Advocates who will engage developers, startups and partners through events, meetups, training programs, co-working spaces and more. This individual will be responsible to run the activities in UAE targeting developers by managing the events end-to-end, use social media to amplify IBM's message to developers and engage in local developer communities to extend reach.
Key Responsibilities:
Works with UAE team leader and the developer advocates to build a local ecosystem engagement plan that reflect planned results and impact of all activities.
Selects strategic sponsorships in market (3rd party trade shows, university events, user groups, meetups etc.).
Supports the execution of the activity plan including but not limited to providing onsite event support, logistics management, input of plans in automation tools and reporting on executed activities (post event reporting etc.)
Uses social media channels to promote the team and activities both internally and externally.
Skills and Experience:
Organized and pursuer
Experience in managing events and community activities
Great verbal and written communication skills
Basic image editing skills (i.e. Photoshop)
Understanding of IT industry and/or developers is a plus
