Database Programmer

Job description

·  Design, build, test and maintain SQL scripts, functions and stored procedures to support application needs
·  document all database objects, technical procedures, test plans and other elements.
·  collaborate to determine how current processing methods can be optimized, scaled, and improved
·  analyze metrics and trends to highlight performance opportunities for improvement
·  provide informed feedback for database design and data model decisions
·  help understand and characterize performance of the system

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  degree in Computer Science or other related field
·  desire to profile and analyze software and hardware performance to achieve optimum results
·  proven technical experience with database systems and SQL
·  understanding of SQL execution and explain plans
·  3 years of working experience in a relational database environment (DB2, SQL Server)
·  good English skills
