Your Role and Responsibilities
As Database Consultant, you are responsible to installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle database systems and migrate Oracle database from one platform to another platform. Design backup and recovery strategies for clients. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, Global Delivery Center #GDC you will be client focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
·  Should have prior knowledge on Oracle database version 11g, 12c, 18c and 19c versions
·  Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and internals.
·  Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database software and related products.
·  Create and maintain Oracle databases, including user management, schema design.
·  Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including resolving incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures.
·  Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
·  Expertise in configuration of Disaster Recovery Techniques (Oracle Dataguard)
·  Must have knowledge of ASM (Automatic Storage Management) configuration and migration.
·  Experience in Oracle database migration, patching and upgrade.
·  Must have good experience of cross platform migration experience for Oracle Database (other than exp/imp)
·  Perform database performance tuning and optimization, ensuring optimal system performance.
·  Implement and maintain database security best practices, including user access management and data encryption.
·  Good knowledge of Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) implementation and configuration.
·  Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
·  Knowledge and hands on experience of basic UNIX commands and functionality.
·  Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Oracle database performance and SQL tuning skills
·  Knowledge of Open Source Databases
·  Hands on experience on IBM AIX Operating System
·  Knowledge of storage backup and replication technologies
