An Account Manager within the Bluemix Infrastructure team is the primary point of contact for their assigned accounts and is ultimately responsible for the overall customer experience and growth of their accounts with an emphasis on cloud object storage expansion. This account manager will sell directly into their accounts while engaging with both the client and with internal teams to help solve customer issues and close additional net new revenue. The portfolio of accounts will be geographically dispersed throughout the continent from a wide variety of industries and verticals with an emphasis on object storage usage.

Responsibilities:
·  Establish personalized relationships with C-Level Executives in the Fortune 500 as well as born on the web, internet centric clients
·  Effectively deliver presentations regarding existing and future product offerings
·  Prepare solutions for tech-savvy clients to facilitate unpredictable growth
·  Communicate with customers and internal supporting teams via phone, email, tickets, and instant messaging to manage client relationships, solve customer issues, and drive sales.
·  Prepare sales quotes, negotiate offers, and process sales orders.
·  Engage with clients through a consultative sales approach to better understand their business needs, issues, strategies and priorities in order to deliver a value-added business solution.
·  Maintain long-term customer account growth targets and sales objectives.
·  Establish and grow relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within accounts
·  Engage regularly with existing clients to maintain customer relationships and to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
·  Provide technical and architectural recommendations to customers related to infrastructure and storage for current infrastructure and future business needs.
·  Help increase awareness of new and existing products and services to clients.
·  Illustrate how the application of additional products and services can be strategically utilized and implemented to meet client objectives.
·  Provide immediate escalation and on-going follow-up to issues and ensure resolution with customers during and after any difficult issues arise.
·  Coordinate with internal resources from varying departments to help solve customer issues, mitigate negative customer cancellations, and to deliver customer-tailored solutions to meet client objectives and requirements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  At least 3 years sales experience in a technical or Cloud-related industry
·  At least 2 years sales experience in cloud-based storage
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) as well as online remote conferencing software (Webex/GoToMeeting)
·  At least 2 years experience in account management
