Job description

Here at Watson Health, we're looking for internally motivated, multi-talented resources to tackle some of the health insurance industry's most challenging problems using industry leading IBM Watson Artificial Intelligence technology. As an AI Data Analyst, you will work with healthcare clients and IBM industry leaders to support emerging solutions using Watson Artificial Intelligence. Our solutions help our clients to digitally reinvent their strategy and operations, driving greater efficiency and transformation of their entire enterprise through cognitive insights.

In this position, you will be consulting directly with clients and internal account teams on projects that span items below:
What are the responsibilities of an AI Data Analyst?

Gather, track, and analyze utilization data in support of customer AI solutions

Create reports/presentations for internal and/or external teams with graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data as needed

Identify, implement, and track KPIs to measure success of solution

Capture, track, and analyze data in support of customer usage and contract requirements

Review/analyze complex sets of information to identify usage trends. Identify & recommend improvements based upon findings

Participate in testing efforts

Communicate findings with internal and/or external teams

What skills/qualifications does an AI Data Analyst need to be successful?

Ability to consult with internal/external team members and clients through strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong problem-solving ability

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and statistical software

Reporting and data visualization skills

Ability to set and meet deadlines

Curiosity with a drive to find solutions to challenging problems

Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Coachable and receptive to feedback

Technical writing skills

Possesses emotional intelligence traits, such as empathy, collaboration, communication, etc.

Prefer 2+ years of experience working with U.S healthcare/benefits

Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

Ability to work independently to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities concurrently

Establish and maintain positive work relationships with peers, management, and customers

Demonstrate a growth mindset and continuous learning; stay current on IBM strategies and offerings with understanding of technical principles and how they contribute to the overall solution

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Foundational experience involving data analysis and reporting

Bachelor's degree with a focus on areas such as Mathematics/Statistics/Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Healthcare (or equivalent experience)

Preferred: An understanding of the U.S. healthcare benefits and enrollment system
