One of the best situated hotels in Birmingham City Centre, Hyatt Regency Birmingham is a modern hotel that enjoys a prime central location. Our luxury hotel is just opposite the Library of Birmingham (the largest regional library in Europe) and five minutes' walk from the exclusive Mailbox Bull Ring shopping centre and Grand Central, as well as Broad Street and Brindley Place. The hotel features 319 luxury rooms and suites, our Aria Restaurant, where guests can enjoy relaxed surroundings whilst enjoying cuisine with a selection of fine wines, or our Gentleman and Scholar Pub who specialises in gin cocktails and light bites with a stunning heated terrace which opens onto Broad Street. We also have 10 meeting rooms and Amala Spa & Club for wellness/beauty treatments a pool and gym.

Amala is an urban day spa within Hyatt Regency Birmingham in the heart of the city. Offering respite from the daily hustle and bustle of city life, the spa comprises six state-of-the-art therapy rooms including a therapy suite enabling two people to enjoy their spa experience together. Amala is home to a Turkish Hamman and a private Hammam treatment room with a marble table where traditionally inspired therapies are applied in a warm steam environment. amala's treatments build upon the cornerstones to well-being, sound nutrition, regular exercise, peace of mind and care of the face and body.

We are looking for an experienced Spa Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis, to help run the reception area, looking after both leisure club and spa clients. The role will be varied from handling club memberships and taking payments, issuing towels and ensuring the locker areas are well presented, through to taking enquiries for Spa treatments, recommending services and booking treatments into the system.

Currently, the Spa works in unison with ESPA and ComfortZone to provide our high standard of care and service to clients.

Working on a casual basis, the ideal candidate will be flexible to work weekdays and weekends (which are the Spa's busiest days). Shifts will be between 6am - 10.30pm.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

You will have previous experience in a free-standing spa or hotel of extremely high standard, relevant qualifications are also necessary. With excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, you will be looking for a new challenge and have a passion for the Spa industry. Knowledge of computerised Spa systems and some sales experience would be advantageous, as would qualifications in beauty/massage treatment.
